This individual coaster ride down the mountain in Bad Dürrnberg, Austria was a “must” on our list and it didn’t disappoint!

The Keltenblitz coaster is a toboggan coaster that goes all the way down the mountain with a single lever break/accelerator with one operator per cart. It’s fast and curvy and it is almost impossible not the scream from enjoyment the whole 4-minute trip down to mountain! Ascending to the coaster building is achieved by a rigorous 15-minute walk or a casual trip up the gondola (which we chose).

Enjoy the scenery, strap on a GoPro, and definitely buy more than one ticket. The first trip you’ll be unsure of the speed so you might break more than you expected to. A second trip gives the chance to open up and really go for it!
